Things to get excited about:

Cole Medina send us a re edit of the classic Bee Gees jam “Love You Inside Out” which blew my mind. I’ve always loved the intro and first couple lines of that song… but then… well, you know how disco can be sometimes right? Right. Anyway, his re edit was top shelf, but it was only 95 beats per minute. I wanna play it!

So I got the parts and remixed the re edit and here it is:

I’ve finally gotten around to restoring the new project pages looking to raise funds for the next full length release from Sunshine Jones.

Currently Sunshine is in the studio working on 2 albums (one for King Street and one for Treehouse) 4 ep’s (the official single releases for this fall on Treehouse Muzique) and 6 remixes (dude.) We thought the idea of a community supported album was a beautiful thing, and it’s making strides toward a workable budget every day and you can help by spreading the word, and by contributing something to the budget as well as your energy and light in the process. Jenö has invited Sunshine down to spin 1 for 1 with him at the July edition of Back 2 Back. Sounds totally insane to me. What fun!

Also there’s a little reunion party coming together in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Nick Oliver and his crew on the easternmost point of our civilized continent are gathering their hearts and heads to produce a fantastic event on August 2nd 2008 where many of the artists who performed there back in the days of hay are getting back together to get down!
